Know the position before you register anywhere. Since 11 June 2024, licensed Australian wagering sites are banned from accepting digital currency. A sportsbook that does take bitcoin is, almost by definition, an offshore one, and providing sports betting to Australians without a local licence is an offence for the operator. The ACMA blocks such sites. The law is aimed at operators, not at bettors, yet an offshore book comes with no Australian complaint route. You must be 18 or over.

Best bitcoin betting sites, in our ranking order
Each brand below has a sportsbook according to our facts. Scores come from the overall scorecard, so the order reflects payouts, bonuses, coins, library, licence, privacy and extras together. Notes stay on the sports side: bonuses, markets, speed and the catches.
1. CasinOK: a separate sports bonus and instant payouts
CasinOK runs its sportsbook with its own 125% bonus of up to $2,000, separate from the casino offer. Cashouts are instant per the site, no cap is listed and sign-up needs no KYC. It takes nine coins. We have no sports market count or league list for it, so check the sportsbook tab before you rely on a particular league. The Curaçao licence is recent, from a 2024 launch. Full detail is in the CasinOK review.

Pros
- Instant crypto withdrawals with no withdrawal limit listed
- No KYC at sign-up
- 300% welcome offer up to $6,000 plus 777 free spins and 10% cashback
- 9 coins accepted from a $10 minimum deposit
- Sportsbook with its own 125% bonus
Cons
- No demo mode for the games
- 35x wagering applies to the welcome bonus
- Curaçao licence and a 2024 launch, so a short track record
Verdict The strongest all-round pick on our scorecard: instant payouts, no KYC and a large game library, held back only by a young Curaçao licence.
2. Vave: the stated market count and the tested payout
One reference puts Vave at 35+ sports markets. Its sports welcome bonus is 100% up to 1 BTC, and the casino adds 5% cashback. Altcoin withdrawals take under an hour, Bitcoin up to 24 hours, and our Litecoin test paid in 20 minutes. Each transaction can go up to $50,000 with no withdrawal fee beyond network costs. No licence is published, and the site has no AUD support, so you buy fiat elsewhere before you can fund an account. See the Vave review.

Our withdrawal test 20 min via Litecoin
Pros
- Tested 20-minute payout via Litecoin
- Up to $50,000 per withdrawal transaction with no withdrawal fees
- 12 to 18 coins accepted, from a 20 USDT minimum
- 7,000 to 10,000+ games including 1,350 live tables
- Sportsbook and 5% cashback on top of the welcome offer
Cons
- No licence published
- Wagering is 35x to 50x with 30 days to clear
- No AUD support: fiat is bought through third parties
- Welcome bonus is split over four deposits
Verdict Vave is among the fastest and most flexible on payouts and limits, but a missing licence means it ranks below CasinOK.
3. Crypto-Games: sports free bet and weekly rakeback
Crypto-Games builds the sportsbook into the same account as the casino. New players get a $50 sports free bet, and 10% weekly rakeback applies on top. Payouts take 15 to 60 minutes, and the minimum deposit ranges from about A$1 to A$2 up to $15. KYC does not apply at sign-up, though checks are possible on large withdrawals or odd betting patterns. The Costa Rica registration cannot be verified. Read the Crypto-Games review.
Crypto-Games #4
Best for: Rakeback and crypto-native games

- 200% welcome offer up to 20,000 USDT
- 10% weekly rakeback and a $50 sports free bet
- Sportsbook built in
- Minimum deposit from about A$1–2 to $15
Cons
- Wagering of 25x to 40x on the welcome offer
- No demo mode
- Costa Rica registration that cannot be verified
- No AUD support
Verdict Quick payouts, a huge welcome ceiling and weekly rakeback make it a strong crypto-native pick, though its offshore licence is unverified.
4. Metaspins: a Sports tab with promotions
Metaspins has a Sports section with its own promotions page, and says you can bet on any international, national or local event. We have no league list beyond that. On the cash side, Bitcoin cashouts are quoted at under an hour with no fees, the cashier handles 12 coins, and you can buy crypto without leaving the site. Rakeback of up to 120% adds value for regular bettors. Identity checks are possible before a payout. The Metaspins review has the bonus terms.
Metaspins #5

Pros
- Bitcoin payouts within an hour with no fees
- 12 coins including memecoins
- Rakeback up to 120% and daily lootboxes
- Buy crypto directly on the site
- Sportsbook and live events alongside the casino
Cons
- Welcome bonus is only 100% with 40x wagering
- Games count is not published
- Identity checks can be requested before payouts
Verdict Best for regulars who want rakeback and daily drops; the welcome bonus is modest next to the top three.
5. MyStake: a mature sportsbook, with a gap on speed
MyStake has run since 2020 under a Curaçao licence and lists a sportsbook alongside a 7,000 to 8,750+ game library. PayID, cards and e-wallets appear next to crypto on its cashier, which makes funding easier than at crypto-only books. Nobody publishes a payout time for it, which is why the payout score is only 7. Minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal are $20 each, and the wagering requirement on the welcome offer is 30x. See the MyStake review.

Pros
- 7,000 to 8,750+ games with 300+ live tables
- 98% average RTP in one reference's comparison
- PayID, cards and e-wallets listed next to crypto
- 30x wagering on the 300% welcome offer
- Curaçao licence since 2020
Cons
- Crypto list is short: 7 coins in one reference
- Payout speed is not published
- $20 minimum deposit and $20 minimum withdrawal
Verdict A mature Curaçao brand with a large library and fiat options, but nobody publishes its payout speed, which keeps it mid-table.
6. Betpanda: instant, fee-free and anonymous in pitch
Betpanda has a Sports tab and advertises anonymous play with zero fees. Withdrawals are instant, and the minimum deposit is $0.10, the lowest on this page. The welcome bonus carries 80x wagering, so most bettors are better off with the 10% weekly cashback, which is paid without wagering. Only Bitcoin is named in our sources, and there is no fiat support. Read the Betpanda review.

- 97% average RTP listed
- Sportsbook and live casino
Cons
- 80x wagering on the welcome bonus
- Limited coin range and no fiat support
- Costa Rica registration rather than a recognised regulator
Verdict Skip the 80x welcome bonus and use it for the wager-free weekly cashback and instant, fee-free payouts.
7. WSM Casino: free bets and a VIP host
WSM Casino bundles 10 free bets into its welcome package, and its VIP club offers a personal host with 20% to 25% cashback. Withdrawals are described as instant, and the minimum deposit and withdrawal are $10. Its site mentions Bitcoin and 20 more coins. The drawback is wagering of 60x to 75x with 14 days to clear. See the WSM Casino review.

- $10 minimum deposit and withdrawal
Cons
- 60x to 75x wagering is among the highest of the ten
- 14 days to clear the bonus
- KYC policy is not published
Verdict Generous headline bonus and VIP perks, but wagering of 60x to 75x makes the welcome offer hard to clear.
8. BC.Game: the widest sports list, not open to Australians
BC.Game’s own page lists football, cricket, basketball, tennis, MMA and esports with live betting, plus a prediction market. It runs on 18 blockchain networks. We rank it tenth, below every casino that accepts Australians, because the site told us it does not take players from Australia; its 8.2 score does not change that. See the BC.Game review.

Cons
- Not accepting Australian players: it refused our Australian connection
- Free-spin winnings carry 40x to 60x wagering
- Web app only, no native app
Verdict Scores 8.2 on our criteria but is ranked last because it does not accept players from Australia.

Sports bonuses: free bets, matched deposits and cashback
Four kinds of sports incentive appear across these books, and they behave very differently.
- Matched sports bonus. CasinOK offers 125% up to $2,000 and Vave 100% up to 1 BTC for sports. The money usually arrives with a rollover, so read the multiplier and the minimum odds before you claim it.
- Free bets. Crypto-Games gives a $50 sports free bet and WSM Casino bundles 10 free bets into its welcome package. A free bet normally returns winnings without the stake, which makes it worth less than its face value.
- Cashback. Vave pays 5% cashback, Betpanda pays 10% weekly and WSM Casino pays 20% to 25% through its VIP club. Betpanda’s is wager-free, which is the strongest form.
- Rakeback. Crypto-Games lists 10% weekly and Metaspins up to 120%, which return a share of your activity regardless of results.
A bonus that needs 60x on a combined deposit and bonus is hard to clear on sports, where each bet at 2.00 odds turns over your balance slowly. If you are mostly a sports bettor, a cashback or rakeback scheme beats a large matched bonus. Our crypto casino bonuses page explains how to compare turnover requirements across offers.
How to bet with bitcoin, step by step
- Buy coins from an exchange registered with AUSTRAC. Our crypto gambling wallets guide shows how to choose one.
- Send a small test amount to the sportsbook’s deposit address, on the network the cashier names.
- Wait for the confirmations the site requires, then check that the balance shows.
- Find the market, read the odds format and confirm the stake before you place the bet.
- When you win, withdraw to your own wallet in stages, and test a small withdrawal first.
- Keep records of every purchase and sale of coins for tax time.
Why Australian bookmakers do not take bitcoin
The credit card and digital currency ban took effect on 11 June 2024. Both the Department of Infrastructure and the ACMA say that licensed online wagering providers may not accept credit cards, credit-linked products like digital wallets, or cryptocurrency. Companies that do not enforce it face fines of up to $247,500.
The licensed alternatives take PayID, debit cards and bank transfers. They are the legal route to sports betting in Australia and they come with BetStop, the complaints route and consumer protections. They also reject bitcoin.

Bitcoin sports betting markets: what to expect
Football and soccer betting with bitcoin
Football is the market bettors search for most, and the usual lines are match result, goals, handicaps and player props. Our sources do not list leagues for these books, so check whether a site prices the A-League and the divisions you follow before you assume it does.
Cricket and Australian codes
Cricket is covered by BC.Game according to its page, and crypto sportsbooks in general price the big internationals and leagues. Our references do not say whether any of these sportsbooks lists AFL or NRL markets, so look at the sports menu before you deposit.
Esports betting with bitcoin
Esports is a large part of what bettors look for at crypto sportsbooks. BC.Game names esports on its page. The titles bettors look for most are Counter-Strike, Dota 2 and Valorant, but our sources do not list them per site, so open the esports menu before you fund an account. Markets can be thinner outside major tournaments, and limits tend to be lower than on football.
Tennis, basketball and combat sports
BC.Game lists tennis, basketball and MMA. For the other books, treat these as something to confirm in the menu, not something we have verified.
Anonymous crypto betting and KYC
Several of these books market privacy. CasinOK has no KYC at sign-up, Crypto-Games asks nothing at registration, and Betpanda advertises anonymous play. Vave advertises a no-KYC badge, yet it can still request a selfie with ID or a call. Metaspins and MyStake can request identity checks before a payout, and the checks can arrive at the moment you withdraw, which is the worst time to find out.
Anonymous at the sportsbook does not mean untraceable. Exchanges in Australia must be registered with AUSTRAC and follow anti-money-laundering rules, so the coins you buy at home are linked to your identity before they ever reach a betting site. Our no KYC casinos page ranks brands by how often identity checks actually appear.
Bitcoin betting apps and mobile play
None of these sportsbooks needs an app store download. Crypto-Games works in a mobile browser, and BC.Game describes a web app with no native app. For the others, assume a mobile browser unless the cashier says otherwise. Mobile betting suits live markets, but the small screen makes it easy to place a stake on the wrong line, so confirm the slip before you tap. Keep your wallet app and your betting browser on separate devices if you can, and never save the withdrawal address in a shared browser.
A simple staking plan for crypto sports betting
Pick a bankroll in A$ that you can afford to lose, then divide it into units of 1% to 2%. Bet one unit on a normal price and half a unit on a long shot. Do not raise the unit after a win streak because the balance looks bigger in coins. Record every bet, including the exchange rate when you deposit, so you can see the real return. Withdraw part of any profit at once. If you find yourself raising stakes to win back a loss, close the account for the day.
Minimum deposits, withdrawal limits and fees
Small bettors should read the cashier numbers before the odds. Minimum deposits in our data run from $0.10 at Betpanda and about A$1 to A$2 at Crypto-Games up to 20 USDT at Vave. CasinOK and WSM Casino ask $10, MyStake $20, and BC.Game $5 to $15 depending on which bonus step you are on. On the way out, Crypto-Games sets a $50 minimum withdrawal, MyStake $20 and WSM Casino $10. Vave allows up to $50,000 per transaction with no withdrawal fee, and Betpanda advertises zero fees. In every case the blockchain charges its own network fee, which the casino does not control.
If you bet in small units, a $50 withdrawal floor means winnings sit on the site until they pass it. That is another reason to prefer a book with a low floor, and another reason to start with the cheapest network. Our crypto gambling wallets guide compares networks by cost.
Crypto sportsbook or licensed Australian bookmaker
The two serve different bettors. An Australian-licensed bookmaker gives you BetStop, a local complaints route, familiar payment methods and local racing and sport markets, and it is the lawful option for a bettor in Australia. It also rejects crypto. Most of the 2026 reform measures start on 1 January 2027, among them restrictions on marketing inducements to new account holders during their first 14 days.
A crypto sportsbook offers speed, wider coin choice and a looser identity process, at the price of legal exposure for the operator, no Australian protection for you and a risk that the domain is blocked. Weigh that trade honestly. If you cannot afford to lose the balance you deposit, an offshore book is not the place for it, and a licensed bookmaker with a deposit limit is.
Odds, margins and bitcoin price risk
Most crypto sportsbooks default to decimal odds. A stake of A$100 at 2.10 returns A$210 including your stake. Divide 1 by the decimal odds to get the implied chance, which is 47.6% at 2.10. Add up the implied chances of every outcome in a market and you will get more than 100%. The excess is the bookmaker’s margin.
Bitcoin adds a second variable. If you stake 0.002 BTC and the price falls 5% before you withdraw, your A$ result is 5% lower than the bet suggests, win or lose. Some players treat the stake as A$ and convert back immediately. Others hold coins and accept the swing. Decide which you are before you start, and see our crypto gambling Australia guide for the tax side.
Live betting and in-play with crypto
Bitcoin live betting lets you bet while the match is running, with odds that move every few seconds. Some sportsbooks add cash-out buttons and early settlement, but our sources do not say which of these do. The ACMA lists in-play betting on sporting events among the services that are illegal to provide in Australia without a licence, so live betting at an offshore book carries the same legal footing as the rest of its sportsbook.
Practical advice for in-play: bet when the stream is live, not on a delayed score feed, and avoid stakes you cannot afford to see move against you in a minute.
Tax on bitcoin betting winnings
For anyone who is not running a gambling business, ATO guidance puts betting and gambling wins outside assessable income. Capital gains and losses made directly from gambling winnings are not counted for CGT. Crypto itself is separate: selling, swapping, gifting or spending a coin is a CGT event, and the ATO converts values to Australian dollars using Reserve Bank rates. If you win coins and later hold them as an investment, the cost base is their market value when you won them. Keep a record of each transaction and ask a registered tax agent about your own case.
Betting sites that accept bitcoin: mistakes to avoid
- Treating a sportsbook bonus as free money. Wagering requirements in the welcome offers we saw ran from 20x at BC.Game to 80x at Betpanda.
- Sending coins on the wrong network.
- Leaving a large balance on an offshore site that may be blocked.
- Assuming BetStop covers an offshore sportsbook. It covers licensed Australian providers.
- Betting more because a coin price is rising. Variance in the odds is enough risk without variance in the stake.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use bitcoin at Australian bookmakers like Sportsbet or TAB?
No. Since 11 June 2024, licensed online wagering providers in Australia cannot accept credit cards, credit-related products or digital currencies such as cryptocurrency as payment. The ban covers online and phone betting, including on-course bookmakers.
Are bitcoin betting sites legal in Australia?
Providing sports betting to people in Australia without an Australian licence is illegal for the operator under the Interactive Gambling Act, and the ACMA lists in-play betting on sporting events and unlicensed betting services among illegal online services. The Act targets providers, not customers, but offshore sportsbooks give you no Australian protection.
Which is the best bitcoin sports betting site on your list?
CasinOK ranks first overall on our scorecard and has a separate sportsbook bonus. Vave is the one with a stated sports market count (35+) and a tested 20-minute payout. Crypto-Games is the pick if you want a sports free bet alongside weekly rakeback. BC.Game covers the widest sports list but does not accept Australian players.
Do I pay tax on bitcoin betting winnings in Australia?
The ATO lists betting and gambling wins as non-assessable for a recreational bettor, and capital gains made directly from gambling winnings are excluded from CGT. Disposing of crypto is a separate matter: swapping, selling or spending a coin can be a CGT event. Speak to a registered tax agent about your own position.
Does BetStop cover crypto betting sites?
BetStop blocks you from licensed Australian online and phone wagering providers. Do not assume an offshore sportsbook honours it. If you want to stop gambling, register with BetStop and call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858.
How fast are bitcoin betting payouts?
Betpanda and CasinOK say withdrawals are instant. Vave lists altcoins under an hour and Bitcoin up to 24 hours, and we saw 20 minutes in a Litecoin test. Metaspins lists Bitcoin within an hour. Crypto-Games gives 15 to 60 minutes. MyStake and BC.Game do not state a payout time in our sources.
